The following are some of the topics that will be dealt with: “Hot-dip galvanising: an option for environmental conservation”; “Steel today. Corrosion and how to avoid it”; “Hot-dipped galvanised steel frames for reinforced concrete”; “Galvanised Steel Applications”; and “Examples using Galvanised Steel”.
The workshop will be held as part of the 1st INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION WEEK. More than 400 companies from the construction material, window and natural stone sectors will take part in INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION WEEK, a business showcase that will occupy five of the IFEMA Exhibition Centre’s halls. There will also be a full Technical Workshop programme. The event will therefore become a major commercial and business platform for a sector that is attempting to relaunch itself to beat the recession.
Among the workshops will be the aforementioned session on the use of galvanised steel in construction, which boasts the following participants: Javier Sabadell, Doctor of Physics and Secretary General of ATEG; Alfonso Vázquez, Research Professor at the CSIC (Spanish Higher Scientific Research Institute); Santiago Gui, Doctor of Industrial Engineering and former director of the GALESA company, and Maria Cruz Alonso, Doctor of Chemistry and Research Professor at the CISDEM (Safety and Structural and Material Sustainability Research Institute).
The INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION WEEK combines three events which are fully consolidated within their respective sectors: CONSTRUTEC, the International Building Exhibition; VETECO, the International Window, Curtain Walls and Structural Glass Trade Show, and PIEDRA, the International Natural Stone Fair.
